Failed Once Again Boo Hoo!

I spent all this valuable time I have posting another blog and it didn't work. Tried to locate why and no results so will try again.

Sorry, to say but I have neglected my blessthislife.blog and I will try to be more deligent from now on. It is in the 100's today here in Parker County. Lydia, our cleaning lady, came today and I took that opportunity to go to Judy's music room with Kate, the maltese, and Gracie, our Yorkie to read, sew a little and doze some too. They both are happy to be included. Gracie climbs up on back of my chair and Kate sits beside me. It is nice to know that I will have a nice clean apartment when I go back to my other life. There is a beautiful view out the window from the music room and the butterflies are beautiful flying around and. of course, the birds are plentiful also. Our grand daughter, Angie, will be here with us for the next few days as Mike and Judy are taking a short vacation to Cabo, New Mexico. She says she will transport us anywhere we want to go so we probably will visit Mariann. Angie will be returning to her kdg. teaching position in Black Mountain, North Carolina and Mariann will return to Mound Elementary in Burleson. They will enjoy having lunch and discussing the coming year.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer and stay cool. Summertime has gone so quickly but since we are one of the retirees, we don't have to worry about time do we? That is a plus. I am going to post this now and hope I don't lose this one. I just need a little more instruction from Angie who sit this up for me to keep me occupied she said. Here goes. Have a good day and answer my blessthislife.blog.com Lou and Jeanne

Hot One Today(at least here in Parker County)

News time just as I had this urge to post on my blog. Oh well, I will make this one short. Now aren't you glad. Our little Kitten "B B" came a calling today. We visited the barn today to check if the horses had enough water and while out there I couldn't find our kitty B B. After checking all around and up and down I decided she was missing. A fear we have out here since some strange critters sneak around after dark. But after calling and looking around outside, there she strolled up just at peace with the world. When finished with the duty of checking the horses and seeing they had plenty of water, I decided it was time to have a little private time with B B and so I picked her up and placed her in my stroller (new) with a nice basket and a lid and in she went and we went strolling. She didn't mind a bit and low and behold we just arrived at our door and strolled right in. Of course Kate, and Gracie nearly had a heart attach but after rubbing noses when she hopped out of my basket they decided it was going to be all right as long as she didn't started jumping around snatching things. Thank goodness, I guess she was so thrilled to get inside this cool place that she found her niche and slept nearly the entire time she was here which was several hours. She didn't act like she had been gone at all and believe it are not, B B was a sweet little kitty so Gracie decided she would take a nap herself. She was on one end of the sofa, Kate in the middle and B B at the other end and all slept peacefully for several hours until the yard man started mowing and the noise disturbed Kate and Gracie but not B B. She just slept all afternoon as peacefully as anything. Alas, I decided I had better take her back to her friends in the barn and so in the basket she went and we strolled back to the barn. There she was met by her sister kitty and we decided she would have a good time there so we strolled slowly back to our house. I didn't even look back once or I would have turned around and snatched up again. No, No! That would never do. Two dogs and a cat need a little time apart.

Bye Bye everyone until the mood strikes again and I will visit once again. Hope all is well and everyone has had a great day. JJJ and Lou

Spending Time Cleaning Up Clutter-What a job that is

Here I am on a Thursday, July 17th at 6:00 o'clock. Whew, am I tired. I made the mistake of trying forwarding a great email (musical I received) to some of my kit and kin and low and behold my computer decided to pull the paper through wrong and I had to spend an hour trying to get it reconnected again after the printout got stuck. What a pain that was because I yanked the stuck paper out rather than pulling it gently as they suggest. So beware if your paper gets stuck going through the print,er, just handle it gently, as they suggest.

Things are quiet here for the moment. Just Lou and I and of course, Gracie and Kate. our forever wanting something pets. Gracie, the Yorkie, is sweet but impatient when she wants something and I don't guess what that is right away and then Kate who has been de-barked as a youngster but wants to have hands on all the time. What a pair but we will keep them I guess. Judy, our daughter, gave one of the kittens to her dad for father's day because the mother cat had died. That lasted about a week because this little kitten was adorable but was a jumper and climber and Gracie would look at me to control her before she broke something. If dogs could only talk. Nevertheless, we finally decided "B B" would return to the barn and we would check on her every day rather than board her all the time. I did get attached to her though but since we have such a small apartment, we figured it wouldn't be advisable to keep her every day and night. Oh well, perhaps we might give Kate back to Judy and let Gracie go over to visit Kate and "B B" could spend time with us during the day.

Enough of this chatter. Hope the week brings each of you a blessing. Until another day, SO LONG. jeanne and lou

Before and After and In Between

A rather calm day at 173 Scenic Ridge Drive. Coke Marshall has been here a couple of days and is taking off shortly. We always enjoy his visits and pray that he arrives back in Dallas safe and sound. Billy Joe and Angie are in an out. Angie is giving swimming lessons to the small children around this area and it seems like they really enjoy her teaching. She has done it forever it seems since she taught at Ridglea Country Club way back when she was still in Arlington Heights. Billy Joe is a Ranger fan and plans a trip to Baltimore for his summer trip when they play there. I hope the team starts to win more like today for instance.

We still have our driver who takes us wherever we want to go on Mondays. If any of you have a free Monday let us know and who knows we might pop in at your invitation of course.

Our daily reoutine is viewing all the animals in our back yard and especially seeing the horses that Judy grooms and grooms. They get more treatment than I ever gave her but then that is what she enjoys so why not. She is always encouraging me to get on "Little Joe" and take him out for exercise. Now can you just see that. I probably couldn't climb up in the saddle but I do enjoy her ridng the three that she has in the corral. Of course, I have to go out and see our little BB(busybody) kitten that we had to take back to be with the other kittens in the barn. Gracie is missing that little busybody but it is a little less hectic without all those critters showing off.

Have a nice week and stay in the air conditioning. Love, Lou and Jeanne

Life After 80

Life After 80

Here I am once again with greeting to all my friends, hoping all have had some cooling off time in this hot weather. Took my first swim or should I say floating with my jacket that keeps one (who can't swim) a float. Sure enjoyed the exercise though and plan to make it a regular part of my daily routine. A bit of sadness entered this household. Alas, BB our kitty had to return to the barn. She became very active especially just jumping on my computer, trying to grab the new drapes because the up and down mechanisum fasinated her and she was determined to get it. All that activity stressed Gracie, our Yorkie, and she was determined to straightened that kitty out or at least wanting me to put a stop to all of that ridiculous behavior. Even though most of the time they were friends and slept together at various times during the day. A hard decision I had to make but it was decided perhaps BB needed to be back with her sister residing in the barn (nice and safe in a room) so the strange characters that stroll around at night out here just ready to snatch ever moving thing. I do go out and visit BB and try to pet her but it isn't the same. Perhaps at a later time when she is a little older we can bring her back to our family group, Gracie, the Yorkie, Kate the Maltease and of course us. I sure became attached to BB and miss her greatly. Jeanne and Lou.

Big Day Today-Fourth of July

Here I am once again. I think I have the hang of it now I hope. If you wish to be on my list, just advise or if not I will honor your wish. Just a way my family says to keep me entertained and to express my hopes, dreams or disappointments. They say it works. We shall see. The day is sunny and bright and a lot of activity here at our back door. Our driver, Mary Jane, and husband is paying us a visit at 1:00. He is a great organizer of kitchen and homes and he is coming out to give me some good advise for our small storage place.

My life is occupied with animal sitting I do believe. First the Maltese, Kate, wants me to constantly pet her and have her beside me in my chair and then the new kitten, DD, or as Louis has named her BB, busybody, wants me to hold her when she gets sleepy and she cuddles on my lap. Gracie gets jealous and she hops up on the back of my recliner and sleeps until someone passes by the door or is swimming and then she is going to get them out of there. That is her territory. So you can see, I get to do what I like to do best (read) in the little free time I have. Woe is me. I'm so mistreated. Ha! I love them all and can't stand to give them away but they all want their time exclusively.

By for now and hope everyone has a happy 4th. jjj

ANOTHER DAY IN DISNEY WORLD>

Here I am again. Just finish another blog but made some typographical errors and didn't want to send it until corrected but alas I don't know how to correct spelling as yet. Help teacher Angie. She is in the swimming pool so will have to wait for now. Louis is asleep and the cats are asleep curled up in my recliner. Gracie is visiting over at Kate's house (She wanted to have some quiet time) So this will be a short one one. I have some snapshots on our new camera that Judy has taken but I don't know how to work it yet. Hope the day is a good one for all of you. Mariann, Matthew, and Robert have gone to Padre for a short trip. She has been relieved of her chem until July 7th on her birthday. I hope it isn't too tiring for her but she loves to go down there. It is so hot here but thank goodness for air conditioning.

So long for now. I will publish this just to see if you get it. Love jjj (the blog) Ha!
